An actor from Star Wars: Episode V has revealed that he doesn't think the newest installment of the franchise will hold up to the hype surrounding it.

Leading Female Cast For Episode VII?

In a live interview Sunday with Flicks and the City, Julian Glover, who portrayed General Veers, mentioned that the newer films just don't quite match up to how great the first ones were.

"Good luck to it," Glover said. "I think it's lost its original zest. It's now very, very clever. It's brilliantly done, can't deny that. The special effects are simply remarkable, but it's lost its original zest because its lost its soul."

Harrison Ford Not Fully Committed To Play Han Solo?

"That was originally very good, and I think the first four were really good," he added. "And now, as I say, they're very well done, but they're not the same thing."

Glover also mentioned that if her were asked to make an appearance in the new film, he would likely want to portray an older version of his original character.

"I'd like to come back in the new Star Wars as somebody else," he said. "Like Veers having grown up a bit? AN old, old Veers, and that'd be good."

While he wouldn't disclose if his character could be making a possible return in the new film, Girls star Adam Driver is in close negotiations to play the villain in the film, according to Variety.

Star Wars: Episode VII is set to hit theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.
