Reality TV actress Amber Portwood featured on MTV's "Teen Mom" began serving a 5-year sentence at an Indiana prison on Thursday.

Amber, 22, was transported to the Rockville Correctional Facility Thursday morning, according to TMZ. Another report from US Weekly says she was transported Wednesday.

"She won't have any visitors here at Rockville," her spokesman told US Magazine.

Portwood was sentenced to 5 years in prison for drug possession in January. The court gave her the option to avoid jail if she completed a drug rehabilitation program but the sentence was re-imposed after she quit rehab.

She said she was too depressed.

"I was very depressed, all alone, all bitter at everyone. I felt like that wasn't the life I wanted to live, I felt like I'd rather do my time and get it over with," Potwood told ABC News on June 6.

Amber, 22 is the mother of 2 year-old Leah. The show featured her difficulties to raise Leah and to maintain a relationship with on- and off-again boyfriend and father of her child, Gary.

During the show, shw was also charged with domestic violence and was at risk of losing custody of her daughter.
