A few months after an extended stint in rehab to treat psychiatric issues, former Nickelodeon star Amanda Bynes may be taking herself off of the dating market.

Recent reports claim that the actress is looking to date again following a tumultuous 2013 during which she was placed in an involuntary psychiatric hold over the summer to be treated for schizophrenia and bipolar disorders. However, any potential suitor she chooses will need the stamp of approval from her parents.

"Amanda is in a state where someone could come in and take advantage of her, so her parents are trying to find dates through friends," a source said. "Her parents are very protective. They won't let Amanda date anyone-bad boy types need not apply."

In the meantime, the actress has stirred allegations that she is currently using a secret twitter account under the name "Ashley Barks," although she has denied it.

In Touch first reported news that the actress was using the secret account based on the similar names, as well as tweets about a dog named Sherbert and various gym activities.

However, both Bynes and the other twitter user have denied that both accounts are run by the actress, yet similarities do remain between the two. Bynes only follows 6 other accounts on her official feed: Jillian Joyce, FIDM, Tanz Watson, Max George, Mac Miller and President Obama. Barks meanwhile follows 20 other accounts, including Joyce, Mac Miller, FIDM and Watson.

Several tweets about Bynes that were mentioned on Barks' account have also raised suspicion that the account is secretly being helmed by the actress.

On March 6, a twitter user tweeted, "Yooo Amanda Bynes sitting across from me at Jinky's waddup," but it was Barks who responded to the tweet by writing "Please delete this tweet."

A similar twitter response occurred on the account on March 10, when another user tweeted, "I SERVED AMANDA BYNES CURLY FRIES TODAY" and Barks simply responded "Shhh..."
