The promo of episode 14 of season 5 of The Good Wife suggests that Will Gardner (Josh Charles) is in danger of going behind bars.
Some blogs have already started speculating that Will will be tried for his complicity in Peter Florrick's stealing the election with fraudulent votes.
In the promo it was suggested that Will could be taken to court over "conspiring to cover up voting fraud."
The Good Wife finally returned after its brief hiatus on March 9 with Parallel Construction, B****es. In the episode, both Will and Alicia are in trouble because of the investigation about Peter Florrick's rigged election win. The NSA uses wiretaps to source a phone conversation between Alicia and Eli which implicates Will. Alicia and Will are threatened by officials from the Public Integrity office on this account.
In the upcoming episode 14, Few Words, it seems like the tensions will flare up as the former lovers are dragged into the mire of Peter's creation. In the preview, Alicia confronts Will, asking him if he hates her now.
As he is asked to spill all the details, fans are left wondering if Will might actually consider keeping the information and risk being implicated to protect Alicia, who is also being investigated in the case.
Recently, Margulies also talked about how Alicia's relationship with Will is set to change in the upcoming episodes of The Good Wife, in an interview.
Margulies spoke about the upcoming episodes of season 5 on Watch What Happens Live. The actress, who plays Alicia on the show, explained the long break the show was on.
"It's been so long because the Olympics, the Oscars and the Super Bowl all happened on Sundays. We're about to have a very dramatic second half of the season, so they didn't want to cut it up. That's why," she said.
From the start, Alicia has always been torn between her commitment to Peter and her attraction to Will. When asked about one of the hottest topics -- the fate of Alicia and Will's feelings for each other -- on The Good Wife, Margulies didn't give anything away.
"Keep watching," she said.
A Few Words will air on March 16 at 9/8c on CBS.
