Lady Gaga may be one of the most well known faces in pop, but the eclectically dressed artist managed to blend in with the crowd while taking in the sights and sounds of South by Southwest.

Jimmy Kimmel Live continued their weeklong broadcast from Austin on Thursday night, and Lady Gaga popped by for a quick chat. Donning a white, coffee filter dress by Gareth Pugh, Gaga said she spent most of SXSW in inconspicuous clothing while attempting to catch as many shows as possible.

"I've had like a really great time," Gaga told Kimmel of her recent Austin exploits. "I mean, I've just been going out really every single night seeing as much music as I can. I miss that so much, I think it's the thing I miss the most - seeing live music and going to bars and wandering around unnoticed."

Luckily for Gaga, she did manage to remain anonymous for most of her evenings out. That is with the exception of one very surprised bass player who caught sight of the music icon during his set.

"I went to a death metal show the other night...that's like really my favorite type of music," Gaga explained. "So I was in the audience and I like ran across the street and I had a beer in my hand and I was barefoot and I started head banging with some strangers. So much fun. And I just remember that the base player looked up and he was like [shocked]."

Lady Gaga performed at the Doritos Bold Stage on Thursday night (see video below) and the music portion of SXSW will conclude on Sunday.
