Marvel decided to schedule Captain America 3 on the same day as the previously announced May 6, 2016 date for Man of Steel 2, according to The Hollywood Reporter, and Warner Bros. might be backing down from the competition.

Brazilian website Judão, via HeyUGuys, is reporting from their sources at Warner Bros. Brazil that Man of Steel 2 has been bumped up to April 28, 2016. The site is reporting that there is word of moving the release date in the U.S. to April 29, a week before their original plan.

There have been no official announcements by Warner Bros. that the release date for Man of Steel 2 has been changed. Assuming it is changed, it would be second move for the Batman-Superman film after originally being scheduled for July 17, 2015.

Most of the work on Man of Steel 2 is still left to be done, as actor Jeremy Irons (who will play Alfred the butler) said that the script hasn't even been finished yet.

In addition to Irons, Man of Steel 2 stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White and Diane Lane as Martha Kent.
