Rumor has it that the fifth season of Teen Mom 2 will indeed be the last for its stars Leah Messer, Chelsea houska, Jenelle Evans and Kailyn Lowry.

But a source claimed that the rumors aren't true.

"The Radar report that they've been told it's being cancelled is not true. I talked to Jenelle herself - the people who told Radar were not reliable sources so as soon as I read it I talked to her. It's 100% not true."

The insider is referring to a separate source who works in production for the show who told Radar Online that "there is no season 6 of Teen Mom 2."

Radar Online also reported that MTV shut down the show because it wanted the show to go off the air with "high ratings."On top of that, more episodes will be added to the end of season 5, instead of there actually being a new season 6. However, the reunion for season 5 was already taped in Los Angeles back in February.

It looks like the show's leaders, Evans and Lowry, are already taping for the upcoming sixth season.

Just Wednesday Lowry shared a picture via Instagram of she and son, Javi, with a camera crew obviously taping them.

She added the caption, "My eyes are half closed!"

She also shared another picture of Javi on Feb. 21 with a camera crew conveniently in the shot.

As for Evans, she took to Instagram on March 7 to coyly show film equipment inside of her home along with the caption, "Time to open my book of secrets to the world once again, lol"
