It's safe to say loyal viewers of Ugly Betty were pretty sad when the show went off the air, but the series' star America Ferrera gave a little hope that it might be making a comeback.

America Ferrera Returning to Television?

She spoke with E! at the SXSW premiere on a possible reunion.

"There will be an Ugly Betty reunion, but i don't know if it's going to be on camera. We see each other all the time."

While she coyly talked a possible reunion that would actually be for the small screen, she seems to be open to the idea of the crew getting back together for an actual show.

"Anything's possible. It's wonderful when fans ask and when they're so excited about it, that hunger to see those characters and the world they live in. I think a lot of things would have to come together to make that happen, and, you know, I'll never say never."

Ugly Betty went off the air nearly four years after its 2006 premiere.

Now, Ferrera is working on a new project as she plays the wife of Cesar Chavez, an activists for farm workers and union leader, in an upcoming biopic. She opened up about meeting the real Helen Chavez and being inspired on playing such an iconic role.

"She's still alive. She's 86. I got to spend time with her and she's sharp as a tack. I definitely felt the need to do her justice. [Helen] picketed and got arrested and ran the credit union. She was a doer and women in our community are doers and that should be reflected in the stories we tell.

Cesar Chavez hits theaters on march 28. Rosario Dawson, Gabriel Mann, John Malkovich nd Michael Peña also star in the film.
