Emilia Clarke Struggling to Play Sarah Connor?

As the fifth in the iconic action film franchise gears up for production in April, speculation about key plotlines have begun to surface. One of the rumored reveals is that the story will rewind to important turning points in The Terminator (1984) and Terminator: Judgment Day (1991).

The director of the film, Alan Taylor, had previously suggested that his inspirations for the reboot were derived from the Batman series

The director went on to speak of a similar franchise being an inspiration for the fifth Terminator, suggesting that two films in the Batman franchise were "wonderful."

Taylor also spoke about how much he loved the first two films in the Terminator franchise.

"We all love the first two and I actually went back and watched them again and my respect level only went up for those first two," he said of The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgement Day.

The film stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, who will be playing the role of a superhuman protector of the Connor family, Emilia Clarke, who has been cast for the part of Sarah Connor, and Jason Clarke as John Connor.

Pre-production for filming for the fifth installment in the Terminator series will begin in New Orleans on April 21. The process will begin with principal photography, which will take place from April 21 to Aug. 1.

Terminator 5 is scheduled to release in July 2015.
