As she continues with recovery post a forced stint in rehab, former child star Amanda Bynes is said to be looking towards a future away from Hollywood.
In an interview published in the Independent Tuesday, the 27-year-old actress was said to be looking forward to leaving the Hollywood life behind once and for all in her commitment to staying clean and living a healthier lifestyle.
"Amanda is determined to stay sober. She admits she's made a lot of mistakes but is determined to move on and make positive changes for her future," a source said. "She's happy to leave Hollywood for good."
Since leaving rehab in December, where she received treatment for psychiatric issues including schizophrenia, the former actress has been living with her parents in Thousand Oaks, Calif. and attending classes at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Orange County. Sh has reportedly decided to seek a new career as a fashion designer.
Another part of the actress' planned recovery includes her readiness to begin dating again as well. She is also seeking a boyfriend. However, any man she chooses to date will need to receive her parents' seal of approval.
"Amanda is in a state where someone could come in and take advantage of her, so her parents are trying to find dates through friends," a source said. "Her parents are very protective. They won't let Amanda date just anyone-bad boy types need not apply!"
