Breaking Bad's Betsy Brandt will be joining the second season of Masters of Sex as William Masters' new secretary.

Virginia's Boyfriend, Played By Nicholas D'Agosto, Quitting the Showtime Series?

Brandt, who is most known for having played the role of Marie Schrader in Breaking Bad, is coming on board the Showtime series. As Barbara, William's new secretary, Brandt will be filling the rather modestly-sized shoes of the research scientist's former secretary Miss Horchow, played by Margo Martindale -- her guest role lasted for only an episode. William's wife Libby (Caitlin Fitzgerald) also helped as his secretary for part of the first season. While it seems that Martindale only dropped in for a guest appearance, with an actress of Brandt's potential, we are hoping the character will be relented more substance and airtime.

Brandt recently wrapped work as Michael J. Fox's wife on NBC's flailing comedy The Michael J. Fox Show. The series' fate is quite uncertain and rescheduling for seven of its unaired episodes hasn't been confirmed yet.

Recently it was also revealed that Keke Palmer will be joining the cast of Masters of Sex for season 2.

Palmer will be playing the part of Coral, nanny to the Masters' baby. The 20-year-old actress has featured in films like Animal and Ice Age: Continental Drift before. Audiences will also see her in the upcoming film, A Trip to Bountiful.

In February, Allison Janney confirmed that she would be continuing her role as Margaret Scully in the second season to Digital Spy. Scully is in a sexless marriage with Provost Barton Scully, who is revealed as being homosexual in the second half of the first season. Janney suggested that the producers were trying to work out the filming schedule for the next season right now. When asked about her character arc and how things might play out for Margaret in the second season, Janney was unsure about the details.
