Though there has been no confirmation that an Iron Man 4 movie will happen, rumors that Robert Downey Jr's character could be replaced for it are continuing.

Ben Kingsley To Reprise Role As Trevor Slattery?

Now, thanks to an interview with Marvel president Kevin Feige, fans are speculating that Downey's Tony Stark character could be replaced by Ultron (James Spader), the villain in the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron.

On Monay, Feige told Movies that a film about Ultron could happen in a post-Avengers world, as the character is set to become a much bigger deal.

Black Widow To Replace Iron Man?

"Our bad guy is great. I think people are going to be very, very excited to see what we're doing with the voice that Joss [Whedon] is bringing to life with James Spader for Ultron," Feige said. "We love Ultron from the comics, and have always loved Ultron, and at no point do we want him to just be a robot. We want him to have an extreme personality and attitude, and James Spader is doing an unbelievable job."

"Again, for us it's always about subverting expectations," Feige continued. "Whenever you think you know what's coming next, we surprise people or deliver it in a slightly unexpected way. And Spader is doing an unbelievable job."

There was a recent report from IGN that Downey, Jr. could potentially be replaced by another actor or character for a fourth Iron Man film. If a film devoted solely to Ultron is in the works, it could be a potential hint as to who could replace the suerhero if Downey, Jr. doesn't sign on for a fourth film.

The video from IGN also mentioned that Downey, Jr. may choose not to be a part of another Iron Man film.
