Kate Middleton apparently wears many hats, as she is not only a wife, a princess, and an expectant mother again, but is now also a new interior designer of her next royal home. All things considered, the Duchess of Cambridge seems to exemplify characteristics of not merely just a housewife, but indeed the modern-day woman.

On March 22, People magazine reported that unlike a typical princess, Middleton is putting forth plenty of "elbow grease" towards decorating her and Prince William's future 10-bedroom home. The regal abode, known as Amner Hall, is located in the Norfolk village of Amner in England and should be ready for The Royals to move-in soon.

The rich and famous are known for "paying somebody else to do it," but no, not Kate Middleton. She spent some years studying art history and so has developed a knack for aesthetics and detail. According to oriental-rugs store owner, Simon Knight, "the property is being decorated, ready for occupation." He noted that Kate shopped at his store in January of this year, where she bought "Turkish kilims" and woven carpets for the Amner Hall bedrooms, and came to his store prepared "with the specific stock codes." Furthermore, he continued with saying, "She knew exactly what she wanted to look at..." and that she had clearly done her "homework," and perused his website in advance.

Though Kate has surely attempted to be stealth during her various in-store visits, she was also spotted at the Design Centre in Chelsea Harbor, by another store owner who remarked that "...she is always by herself and very low-key."

With the Amner Hall renovations coming to a close, Prince William and The Duchess are slated to be singing "home sweet home" in no time flat.
