Three more competitors said goodbye to The Voice on Monday as the Battle Rounds continued to take their toll.

With six rounds to an episode, the Battle Rounds pit singers from each team against each other. Winners advance to "The Battles, Round 2" (previously the "Knockout Rounds") while losers are either stolen by another coach or eliminated completely.

Team Adam Levine opened up the night's competition with a face off between Josh Kaufman and Austin Ellis. Kaufman won for his rendition of Pharrell Williams Happy and Ellis was ultimately sent packing when he failed to make the cut with another coach. Later, Team Adam managed to retain Dawn and Hawkes but lost Josh Murley to Coach Shakira.

Usher also had four contestants on the chopping block on Monday, and the hip-hop artists decided to keep Madilyn Paige for her performance of Everything Has Changed by Taylor Swift (see video below) and Bria Kelly for her rendition of Erma Franklin's Piece of My Heart. In exchange, Usher lost Tanner James and Tess Boyer, the latter of which was stolen by Blake Shelton.

Meanwhile, Team Adam lost Alaska & Madi in order to save Audra McLaughlin while Shakira gave up Music Box for Deja Hall. Usher then picked up Music Box.

The Voice will air the last episodes of "The Battles, Round 1" on March 25 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
