Sean Avery was one of the first celebrities eliminated on this season of Dancing With the Stars, and the former hockey player thinks he knows exactly why he was eliminated so early.

Along with his pro partner Karina Smirnoff, Avery found himself in the unfortunate position of being eliminated from Dancing With the Stars just two weeks into the competition on Monday. Soon after his elimination, the hockey star took to Twitter to cryptically tease that he knew why he was eliminated.

"I will tell everyone on #GMA tomorrow why i was voted off," he tweeted. "my partner @Karina_Smirnoff is AMAZING."

On Good Morning America, Avery revealed that it was his conflict with the Dancing With the Stars producers that ultimately did him in.

"I think we knew as of probably Monday last week that our fate was sealed," Avery admitted. "I had a conversation with Conrad, one of the producers, and I was upset at the package that they had brought in the week previous, and it was a very tacky attempt to show me as the bad boy of Dancing With the Stars. And I think in reality TV or some sort of competition, if you have a disagreement with the producers then generally that seals your fate quite early."

However, Avery was also quick to note that he had a "fantastic time" on Dancing With the Stars with Smirnoff despite the early elimination. He said that the experience gave him a friend for life in Smirnoff.

Dancing With the Stars season 18 airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
