Anne Hathaway recently addressed the possibility of reprising her role as Catwoman in a future DC film, such as Man of Steel 2.

Ben Affleck To Be "Biggest, Leanest, Baddest" Batman Ever?

Hathaway, who was doing press for her latest movie Rio 2 alongside Jesse Eisenberg, told MTV News this week that she would like to come back and play the character. The actress seemed especially receptive to a solo Catwoman film.

"I would love it if that happened, no one's talked to me about it and I think- probably not gonna happen but that would be pretty cool," Hathaway admitted.

Hathaway played Catwoman in 2012's The Dark Knight Rises, a role that has been played in the past by Halle Berry and Michelle Pfeiffer.

With Eisenberg set to play the villainous Lex Luthor in Man of Steel 2, MTV asked him and Hathaway who would win in a face-off between the two villains.

"Well see 'cause it's all fictional it's probably out of our hands," Eisenberg quipped, causing Hathaway to laugh.

Man of Steel 2 already has a relatively substantial cast assembled ahead of its 2016 release date. Joining Eisenberg will be Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent, Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent and Jeremy Irons as Alfred, butler to Bruce Wayne.

Man of Steel 2 is scheduled for release in theaters on May 6, 2016, though recent rumors have suggested that the film could move up to April 29 to avoid conflict with Captain America 3.
