With the highly anticipated Captain America: The Winter Soldier set to be released in just one week's time, more spoilers continue to emerge that show some of the deep emotional conflicts Steve Rogers will deal with in the film.

Chris Evans Quitting Acting?

According to What Culture, one major plot point that will occur in the film is Steve Rogers' new love interest. Though previous spoilers hinted that the character would potentially strike up a romance with fellow superhero Black Widow, the website points out that many have overlooked a certain character in The Winter Soldier who Steve Rogers did date in the comic books.

That character is none other than Agent 13/Sharon Carter, played by Emily VanCamp in the film. In the comic books, Sharon Carter and Steve Rogers do date on-and-off, and she even stops working at S.H.I.E.L.D. at one point.

Considering Steve Rogers will try and cut his ties with S.H.I.E.L.D. in the film because of a lack of trust, it could free her up to team up with him and possible strike up a romance by the time Captain America 3 will be released in 2016.

Chris Evans Dishes On Relationship Between Steve Rogers and Falcon?

Meanwhile, Marvel released a new featurette about Bucky Barnes a.k.a. The Winter Soldier himself on March 26, which shows Steve Rogers feeling conflicted over fighting his former best friend, who is now a trained assassin hired to kill him.

In the clip, Steve is seen staring off into space as he contemplates how to handle the situation as his newest sidekick, The Falcon, talks to him about the situation.

"Whoever he used to be, the guy he is now, he's not the kind of guy you save. He's the kind you stop," The Falcon says in the clip.

"I don't know if I can do that," Steve Says in reply.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier opens April 4.
