An upcoming episode of The Big Bang Theory will feature Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) going through a big break up, though it's not the type of break up one would expect.

The Big Bang Theory Headed To Mondays Because Of Thursday Night Football?

CBS released a plot synopsis this week for the 20th episode of The Big Bang Theory season 7, which is titled the Relationship Diremption. In the episode, Sheldon decides to "break up" with string theory and has a personal crisis in the aftermath. Penny (Kaley Cuoco) is tasked with consoling Sheldon after the big "break up."

There is no indication that Sheldon and Amy Farrah-Fowler (Mayim Bialik) will be breaking up anytime soon, which is good news for "Shamy" fans.

Bob Newhart Returning for Third Appearance as Professor Proton?

Meanwhile, the episode will feature a double date between Raj (Kunal Nayyar), Emily (guest star Laura Spencer), Howard (Simon Helberg) and Bernadette (Melissa Rauch). Unfortunately, the double date ends in "embarrassment" for Howard, though it is not immediately clear how. The episode is slated to air April 10.

Before this episode, though, The Big Bang Theory will air a new episode titled The Indecision Amalgamation. This episode, the 19th in season 7, will feature Raj being "wracked with guilt" as he attempts to date two women at the same time.

Meanwhile, Penny must decide about whether or not she wants to take on a role in a cheesy movie. Sheldon has a decision of his own to make as he is torn between two different gaming systems.

The Big Bang Theory season 7 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on CBS.
