Unlike many other spats on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, NeNe Leakes and her husband Gregg weren't going to let their blowup with Cynthia Bailey's husband ruin their friendship.

NeNe and Cynthia's Friendship Over For Good?

In the March 30 episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, the Leakes couple apologized for their screaming match with Bailey and Peter Thomas that ended with NeNe calling Thomas the B-word.

It's very rare that NeNe apologizes to her fellow cast members but it's clear that she sees Bailey and Thomas, who were both in her recent second wedding to Gregg, as good friends she doesn't want to lose. So the two couples went out to dinner to try to smooth things out.

Cynthia Says NeNe 'Crossed The Line'

NeNe told Thomas, "I don't feel that you are a [b-word]. I didn't even realize that I called you [one]. I really was trying to say that you were acting like [one]."

So far her apology wasn't impressing Bailey or her husband, but NeNe continued trying to get her point across while explaining why she called him that in the first place.

"So I do apologize for that. Because I really felt like you were acting like a [b-word] because you really know I didn't want to be at that ball," NeNe said, referring to the first time she called him one.

Bailey told the cameras that it was all the same to her, whether she was calling Thomas one or saying he was acting like one, and wanted NeNe to "chill" on saying the word period.

Still, NeNe wanted to let the couple know she really didn't mean what she said.

"It was a heated moment and I just said whatever came up. I do feel like you were wrong and maybe I was wrong too. It's nothing I can say about my actions..."

At that point, in true Gregg fashion he was able to bring the spat to a close by extending his hand to Thomas and bringing their friendship back to where it was before the whole ordeal.
