In the episode sneak peek, Agent Pride (Scott Bakula) and Gibbs (Mark Harmon) are seen investigating a new crime scene that is quite gruesome. At the scene a corpse is found, which has presumably been eaten by alligators and is now barely identifiable. The person has been dead for about two to three weeks.

Agent Pride looks at the body and reveals that it's the same operating mode as Privilege, a known serial killer who targeted military and public workers.

"I've got cloth fibers under the victim's finger nails," Doctor Loretta Wade (CCH Pounder) says.

Tuesday night's episode will help determine if the new pilot will become the latest NCIS spinoff. The first part of the pilot, which premiered last Tuesday, brought in about 17 million viewers.

Executive producer Gary Glasberg previously explained what makes the New Orleans potential series special.

"One of the really interesting things I'm picking up on is, a lot of times on our show, especially when it's a case-related scene, we will put it in our squad-room set. Here, all I want to do is see people walking. I want them out on the street," Glasberg told The Associated Press. "I want the city to be as much a part of those conversations as anything. To be able to do that walk-and-talk through the city is exciting for me. And it's different. And that kind of difference is what I'm trying for."
