Good news for those who loved the TV show "Unforgettable" on CBS. The producers are currently in talks with CBS to bring back the show next summer. If all goes well the show which only had a life of one season, may be returning to our screens for a 13-episode second season next year.

The show, which stars Poppy Montgomery and Dylan Walsh, was axed after a single season despite drawing in an average of 12.1m viewers. The final episode aired last month on May 8.

The show starred Montgomery who plays a detective with a unique gift of being able to remember everything she sees. Other networks such as TNT and Lifetime were in talks with Sony TV to continue the show.

CBS did not comment on the recent rumors of the show's comeback. However, at the time of the show's cancellation, CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler said: "I don't know if it's what went wrong [with Unforgettable]. It was more about what went right with the new pilots." she said.

Poppy Montgomery is also known for her role as Samantha Spade on "Without a Trace."

"Unforgettable" was not the only show axed by CBS this year. Long running "CSI:Miami" was also cancelled. The network said in a statement: "CSI: Miami leaves an amazing television legacy - a signature look and style, global popularity and as a key player in CBS's rise to the top over the past decade.  We thank all the producers - led by Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman and Ann Donahue -- and its talented cast, led by David Caruso, for 10 outstanding seasons."
