Despite rumors that he was being strongly considered for a lead role in an upcoming reboot of the Indiana Jones movies, it appears American Hustle star Bradley Cooper is actually not up for such a role.

Bradley Cooper To Replace Harrison Ford In 'Indiana Jones 5?'

Cooper has not commented on the speculation that he was being considered to replace Harrison Ford in the rumored upcoming Indiana Jones 5. 

Latino Review initially started the rumors that Cooper was being considered to replace Ford in a "reboot" of the franchise in late March. The site noted that because the film is currently on the back burner (Disney/Lucasfilm is currently focusing on the 2015 J.J. Abrams-helmed Star Wars: Chapter VII), Ford would be too old for the role by the time it began filming. They also claimed that writer Frank Darabont had pitched an idea for a script.

Bradley Cooper Not Replacing Harrison Ford?

However, according to Empowered News, Ford has said he would still take the role even with his age. The actor is turning 72 this July.

Darabont has also debunked the rumor that he is currently working on a script for the movie.

"This is an internet rumor with not a shred of truth to it. I have not pitched an idea for a proposed Indiana Jones movie, not has anybody approached me with such an idea. The inaccurate report on Latino Review was the first I'd heard it," he said.

Meanwhile, Cooper has been fighting rumors that he and model Suki Waterhouse have broken up after one year of dating due to his reported reunion with ex-girlfriend Renee Zellweger.

According to International Business Times, Waterhouse had already been considering ending things for a while due to the couple's age gap, but she officially decided to end things after realizing that Cooper was calling Zellweger and ignored her requests to cut ties with his ex.

"Bradley told Suki she was being unreasonable and refused," a source said. "Now she's decided it's time to move on."

However, a source told E! News that those rumors were false as well, saying, "Bradley and Suki are very much a couple."
