The cast list of Man of Steel 2, a.k.a. Batman vs. Superman, continues to grow larger as three more actors have signed on to the 2016 movie.

Oscar-Winning Actor From Man of Steel Not Returning For Batman vs. Superman?

The biggest name to sign on for Man of Steel 2 is Holly Hunter, who won an Oscar for 1993's The Piano. The actress will be joined by Callan Mulvey (300: Rise of an Empire) and Tao Okamoto (The Wolverine). The announcement of these three actors joining the cast was made Thursday and revealed by The Hollywood Reporter.

Each of these actors will be playing a role specifically written for the movie, meaning that they won't be taking on a previously established role from either the Superman or Batman comics.

The trio joins a cast that includes several actors reprising their roles from Man of Steel, including Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White and Diane Lane as Martha Kent.

Among those joining the Superman franchise for Man of Steel 2 are Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, butler to Bruce Wayne.

Very little has been revealed about Man of Steel 2 other than the film's cast, mostly because filming has not even commenced at its planned Michigan location. The film was pushed from 2015 to 2016 in order for the writers to devote more time to the story.

Man of Steel 2 is scheduled for release in theaters on May 6, 2016.
