Luke Evans dished on the final battle being "bigger, better" and "crazier" and touched on Bard's "real storyline" in The Hobbit: There and Back Again in a recent interview.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug Available for Streaming Online Ahead of DVD Release 

In an interview with MTV on April 2, while promoting the release of DVD and Blu-Ray of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, the actor spoke about the last film in the trilogy. Speaking of The Hobbit: There and Back Again he said he was excited as they would finally start touching on his character's, Bard, real story line.

"We've only just touched on Bard's real storyline. It's exciting. That's why I'm so excited about it," he said.

Evans cautioned that he was not allowed to give away much but did talk about the epic battle scene that the entire trilogy was buidling up to. He said that he experienced some "amazing moments" while filming The Hobbit: Part 3 saying that the experience was "very powerful, incredibly emotional and physically some of the hardest stuff I've ever done."

He added that the battle would be quite massive and beat anything the fans had seen in the previous films.

"Peter wanted to do something bigger, better, even crazier than what he did in The Lord of the Rings," he said. "That's a feat in and of itself. We all know what the battles were like in The Lord of the Rings. They're going to be treated to something spectacular, I'm sure."

The Hobbit: There and Back Again will hit theaters on December 18.
