While fans wait for the summer premiere of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, new reports say that Rob Kardashian and his estranged brother-in-law Lamar Odom have rebuilt their bond.

Rob Kardashian's Health Issues Life Threatening At One Point?

A cryptic tweet posted by Rob Kardashian on April 1 was enough for Odom to step in in hopes of helping the troubled reality star, whose health issues gave his family a scare in recent episodes of the show.

Though Odom has been facing his own personal issues, including Khloe Kardashian filing for divorce this past December, a tweet Rob posted that read, "No one will ever understand how much it hurts," caused the two to "reconnect."

A source told RadarOnline, "[Rob] has completely retreated from the family, and from his friends. But within the last few weeks, Rob has reconnected with Lamar."

The insider also gave som insight of how Rob, who was always extremely close with Odom, took his and Khloe's separation.

"It was extremely hard for Rob when Lamar and Khloe split. Because first and foremost, he hated what it did to Khloe. The split also essentially had ended Rob and Lamar's relationship...they called each other brother, and meant it. There was a lot of love there."

The source also revealed that Odom had the courtesy to ask Khloe's permission to befriend Rob.

"Of course, she said 'yes'. No matter what happens with them in the future as a couple, Khloe wants her brother and Lamar to maintain their friendship."

Khloe also seems to have been the most supportive of Rob in his journey to shed pounds.

Keeping Up With the Kardashians returns from hiatus this summer. A premiere date has not been released yet.
