American Horror Story star Angela Bassett recently weighed in on what type of "freak" she could be playing on the upcoming fourth season of the FX series.

Season 4 Features 'Elephant Man,' Extra Arms & Misshapen Heads?

Set in 1950, season 4 of American Horror Story is centered on one of the last remaining freak shows in America. Owned by Jessica Lange's character, the freak show is filled with rescued individuals who are desperate to keep the business afloat.

Lange's character has "rescued all these different individuals," Bassett told E! Online recently. "It's the end of that era, of the freak show, and we'll do anything to keep our business going."

Bassett, who will play one of the "freaks" in the business, admitted that she does not know who she will be playing yet, though she offered a few suggestions.

"I don't know if I'll be a Siamese twin or a bearded lady!" she said, laughing.

Joining Bassett and Lange for season 4's Freak Show are many actors who have starred on the show before. Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Frances Conroy, who have had roles in all three seasons of the series, are all set to return as members of the freak show.

Kathy Bates, who starred in season 3's Coven, is also set to return as a freak. Other actors returning include Emma Roberts, Denis O'Hare, Gabourey Sidibe and Jamie Brewer.

Michael Chiklis (The Shield) is set to join the cast for season 4 as the father of Evan Peters' character and the ex-husband of Bates' character.

American Horror Story: Freak Show premieres in fall 2014 on FX, though the network has not yet scheduled an air date.
