Though a preview for the season 3 finale of Amish Mafia appears to allude to the cast of the hit show quitting the series, Discovery may have confirmed that the series will in fact film a fourth season.

Amish Mafia Cast Not Returning For Season 4?

In an announcement promoting a new series called The West, the channel announced that shows that will also be returning for new seasons include Amish Mafia, Deadliest Catch, Dude You're Screwed, Gold Rush, Mythbusters, Sons of Guns, and Yukon Men.

The announcement that Amish Mafia would be returning appears to drastically counteract a preview for the season 3 finale that Discovery aired earlier in the week. In that preview, the Lancaster-based cast, including Lebanon Levi, Esther Schmucker and Caleb all made veiled threats to the camera crew that they would no longer film the show.

Esther Schmucker's Beating Revealed On Season 3 Episode

"We're not filming no more, I'm done with it," Levi says in the preview clip.

Schmucker and Caleb had more violent reactions to the crew, with Schmucker threatening to smash the cameras, while Caleb told the crew to leave.

"Do you want to leave in one piece? You'll go now," Caleb says. "Our biggest mistake was letting English people in our lives. Get the f--- out of here."

Producer Michael Kelly also hinted late last year that the cast and crew were dealing with tension as they came to the end of filming season 3.

Though the show is returning for a fourth season, it could still potentially continue filming without the Lancaster cast. Merlin and Wayne are based in Ohio and could filming could continue there. Alan Beiler, who is also based in Pennsylvania could return to film a fourth season as well.
