After James Franco was accused of coming on to a 17-year-old girl via text and social media, the actor made an apology about it during his appearance on Live! With Kelly & Michael- but according to some, the apology was total bogus.

When the 127 Hours actor was on the talk show, he mentioned that he was embarrassed about the alleged flirting with the teenager named Lucy Clode, and how he didn't seem to be fully aware on how it was going to look to the public.

"I was just feeling awkward. I didn't want to come on the show and just feel awkward," Franco said. "I'm embarrassed and I guess I'm just a model of how social media is tricky. It's a way people meet each other today, but what I've learned- I guess just because I'm new to it- you don't know who's on the other end. You meet somebody in person and you get a feel for them, but you don't know who you're talking to. So I used bad judgment and I learned my lesson."

Franco also opened up about how strange it is for him, mostly because he made a mistake and it got revealed to the world.

While his apology may have come off as sincere, body language expert Dr. Lillian Glass warned that his words should not deceive anyone.

"He looks down, he looks up, he laughs, he never looked at Kelly [Ripa] during the apology," Glass told Hollywood Life"He is doing what he has to do to save his reputation. Also he sounds monotone and insincere and defensive as he says he's 'new at this.' Everyone is new at this. He sounded too defensive for a sincere apology."
