Justin Moore won the award for New Artist of the Year at Sunday night's Academy of Country Music Awards.

Justin defeated Kip Moore and Brett Eldredge for the breakout-artist honor.

Although Justin was placed in the New Artist category, the 30-year-old is no stranger to the country scene. Active since 2007, Justin released studio albums in 2009 and 2011 before dropping Off The Beaten Path in 2013. In addition, the performer debuted an EPs in both 2009 (The "You Asked For It" EP) and 2013 (Points At You and Four Moore Hits EP).

Kip didn't release an album during 2013, but the performer did drop two new singles and a music video. Working with MCA Nashville, the 34-year-old followed up the 2012 release of his first full-length, Up All Night, with the Hey Pretty Girl and Young Love. Hey Pretty Girl managed to crack the Top 10 on the US country charts and was certified Gold in both the US and Canada.

Eldredge released his first studio album, Bring You Back, last August via Atlantic Nashville. His debut album hit No. 2 on the US country charts and No. 11 overall. The 28-year-olf has released four singles for Bring You Back since 2010, and one of them managed to received Gold status in the US and Canada. Raymond, Don't Ya, and Beat of the Music have all received music videos, the latter of which was released this year.
