In the exclusive behind-the-scenes video preceding the release of the film's DVD/Blu-Ray -- on which it features as a bonus featre -- Bloom, who plays Legolas is seen pratice precisely slaying the deformed monsters as Peter Jackson directs him. The whole bloody action sequence takes place in the green room and Bloom is seen wielding the razor thin knife through the masked beings dressed in dirty tatters.

DailyMail also released another bit where Bloom is seen joking, holding on to one of the decapitated heads. As the actor tries to seriously do his part, the head slips from his head and rolls off on the floor which causes the rest of the cast crew crack up.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug Available for Streaming Online Ahead of DVD Release  

The film will be available in a variety of packages which will also feature a limited collector's edition set for $105.43, a Blu-ray 3-D combo pack for $44.95, a Blu-ray combo pack for $35.99 and a 2-disc DVD special edition for $28.98.

Only 25,000 pieces of the collector's edition will be available in the U.S. and will include two Gates of Erebor replica bookends and a theatrical version of the film in 3-D high-definition, high-definition and standard definition.

The last film in the trilogy, The Hobbit: There and Back Again, will hit theaters on December 18.
