Only 20 competitors were left standing when The Voice concluded its second round of Battles on Monday evening.

The series said goodbye to five more competitors following the end of the grueling Battles process, and now The Voice is ready to head into the Playoffs.

With six rounds to an episode, the Battle Rounds pit singers from each team against their teammates. The series expanded the Battles to two rounds for season 6, and Round 2 replaced the Knockout Rounds. Similar to Round 1, the second installment allows coaches to steal one losing singer from another team but requires them to cut their own team in half.

Adam Levine and Usher had the most to loose during the April 7 show since both musicians were forced to eliminate two performers. Levine decided to oust Dawn & Hawks and Brittnee Camelle in lieu of retaining Kat Perkins and Jake Barker for another round while Usher ditched Music Box and Madilyn Paige in order to hang on to Bria Kelly and Melissa Jiménez (see video below).

Luckily for Paige, Coach Blake Shelton swooped in and used his only save to add the young performer to his own team. However, the country star had to choose between Ryan Whyte Maloney and Kaleigh Glanton earlier in the show and Shelton opted to say goodbye to the latter.

Team Shakira only faced one elimination during episode 18, and the Colombian vocalist chose to send Clarissa Serna packing while advancing Dani Moz.

The Voice will return to NBC on Tuesday at 8 p.m.
