Instagram model Paulina Gretzky is on the current cover of Golf Digest, which has sparked outrage from other golf players, but it appears that the model's future husband feels differently.

Wayne Gretzky Dishes On Daughter's Golfing Skills?

On Saturday, Gretzky's fiancee, Dustin Johnson, posted the magazine cover on his Instagram page where he captioned the photo with only positive words despite the harsh criticism the cover is receiving.

"So proud of my baby @paulinagretzky!!!Big thanks to @golfdigestmag for doing such a great job on their FITNESS issue," Johnson wrote.

Johnson is a golf player, himself, which could be the reason for Gretzky's cover. This caused other women who play the sport to express how annoyed they were that the sexy model would win the cover as opposed to a legitimate golf player.

"It's frustrating for female golfers," Stacey Lewis, who's had years of experience in the sport, told The New York Times. "It's kind of the state of where we've always been. We don't get respect for being the golfers that we are. Obviously, 'Golf Digest' is trying to sell magazines. But at the same time you'd like to see a little respect for the women's game."

World Golf Hall of Famer Juli Inkler also expressed her discomfort, which was published in Yahoo! Sports.

"It's frustrating because it's Golf Digest; it's not Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue," she said. "I think they should maybe recognize some of the great women golfers that we have. It's like, What do you have to do to get a little respect? I'm guaranteeing you right now, it was not a woman editor who chose that cover."
