The next episode of Game of Thrones will be a significant one, despite previews suggesting that it will just be another standard episode.

Huge Battle "Changes Fate Of The Kingdom" As Jon Snow Becomes Leader?

Episode 2 of Game of Thrones' fourth season is titled The Lion and the Rose, and it will feature the big wedding of King Joffrey Baratheon (Jack Gleeson) and Margaery Tyrell (Natalie Dormer). As with all weddings on Game of Thrones, it is a significant one, with fans dubbing it the "Purple Wedding."

HBO has released a relatively vague plot synopsis of the events set to occur in The Lion and the Rose. Among them, Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) will lend Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) a hand, a clever nod to the latter's lack of a right hand.

Arya "Leaves A Trail Of Blood" Behind Her In Season 4?

Meanwhile, viewers will get their first look at Dragonstone this season in this episode. Stannis Baratheon (Stephen Dillane) will find himself growing increasingly impatient with Davos (Liam Cunningham).

Viewers will also get their first look at what Bran (Isaac Hempstead-Wright) has been up to since season 3 ended. The mysteriously gifted boy sees where he and his gang must go while traveling North of the Wall.

Theon (Alfie Allen) and Ramsay (Iwan Rheon) were also mysteriously missing from the season 4 premiere, but both will be back in episode 2. The plot synopsis says that Ramsay will "find a purpose for his pet," which cannot be good for poor Theon.

This episode is written by George R. R. Martin, who wrote the book series on which the TV show is based.

Game of Thrones season 4 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on HBO.
