MTV's Awkward premieres its fourth season in just a few short days, and fans can expect a season that will amp up the drama as the cast tries to navigate their way through senior year of high school.

Lacey and Jenna Experience A 'Deeper' Relationship?

In an April 5 interview with The Huffington Post, Nikki DeLoach, who plays Jenna Hamilton's less-than-perfect mother, Lacey, revealed that the new season would be "supersized" in a few different ways.

"It's supersized. Everything's a little bigger," she said. "We're at more locations, there are new cast members and there's lots of stuff going on with senior year."

Jenna Moves On With A New Guy Despite 'Lingering Feelings' For Matty?

Some of the stuff affecting the cast this season will include figuring out their futures post high-school, as well as figuring out the usual relationship drama. At the end of season 3, Matty and Jenna were still friends, and in season 4 they appear to be friends with benefits -- until new people come into the picture.

However, the kids of Palos Hills aren't the only one who may be trying to figure things out about their lives on the show, DeLoach hints. Her character will also go through a bit of an identity crisis.

"She's really coming into her own. She's wondering, 'When Jenna's gone, what does that mean for me and my life? Where am I supposed to go and who am I?'" DeLoach said. "Just as her daughter has pondered the question, 'Who am I and who do I want to be?' Lacey is now where her daughter was in previous seasons and she's wondering that for herself."

Awkward season 4 premieres Tuesday, April 15 at 10 p.m. on MTV.
