True Blood fans will be introduced to Bill Compton's (Stephen Moyer) parents in the upcoming final season of the vampire-friendly show.
True Blood will be traveling back to 1855 in the final season, where viewers will be introduced to William Compton Sr. and Margaret Compton, according to a Friday report by E! Online. As viewers get more of Bill's origin story, there will also be a storyline involving Caroline Compton (Shannon Lucio). Caroline will be shown giving birth to one of Bill's kids in the 1850s.
Back in the present, there will be yet another new character introduced to the already large cast. The new character is Brigette, who the report claims is a "smokin' hot" microbiologist.
Details are gradually leaking about True Blood's upcoming seventh and final season. The premiere episode of the new season is titled Jesus Gonna Be Here, an episode that will be directed by Moyer. The episode is set to feature a flashback to Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Tara (Rutina Wesley) when they were young kids.
It seems that the final season has an emphasis on the past with several flashbacks for the main characters. True Blood show runner Brian Buckner has also said that the series is going back to its roots as the season focuses the action back in Bon Temps.
All 10 episodes of the final season will play out this summer.
True Blood premieres Sunday, June 22 at 9 p.m. on HBO.
