It appears that Katy Perry is shutting John Mayer out of her life by ignoring any form of contact he gives her.

On Friday, People reported that the Roar singer is doing much better amid her recent split from the Your Body is a Wonderland star. Apparently, Perry is happy where she is, and is not going to let anyone stand in her way.

"She finally decided, 'f--- it. I'm going to do what I want to do and I don't care what people think," a friend of the singer's reportedly told the magazine.

"Katy will not let her romance derail her life right now," the source added, also mentioning that Perry has ignored text messages and phone calls from her ex.

As for where the Dark Horse star's love life is headed from here, it seems like it won't be happening for a good while.

"She is happy being single. I don't see her getting into another relationship for a very long time," the source said. "Why would she? She has a fantastic career, a ton of friends and is generally happy with things. She thinks that a relationship will complicate things right now."

The pop star's tour that begins on May 8 is apparently the only thing on the singer's mind right now, and the idea of a boyfriend is nowhere near that.

"She's looking for something showstopping [for her tour]," the source said. "Something that will grab the attention of everyone. She can't focus on that if she's dating someone. Right now, she needs to have a one-track mind, and it can't be about a boyfriend."
