As of late, the Green Lantern superhero, Ryan Reynolds, has been criticized for frequenting his wife, Blake Lively, on set of her upcoming film. Now, new reports suggest that the actor is taking advice from his pets. Is all of the media scrutiny causing Reynolds to go insane?

Recently, the pair has been snapped out and about on food dates, all throughout his hometown of Vancouver, Canada. Reportedly, Lively has been working long overnight shifts shooting scenes for her starring role as the title character in The Age of Adaline, where her hubby has sporadically popped up, which allegedly "infuriates her."

Moreover, while reports attributed Reynolds' behavior to being "very possessive" and jealous of her co-star, Michiel Huisman, shooting romantic scenes with his wife, purportedly a source close to Lively renounced those claims. So, why is the 37-year-old actor suddenly listening to what he thinks his cat and dog are telling him?

Apparently, the stunt is for one of his new roles as Jerry Hickfang in the upcoming comedy horror, The Voices, which depicts the classic tug-of-war between good and evil. In the movie, he takes a turn from the type of roles fans are used to seeing him play, and portrays an insane serial killer who is off his meds. Tuesday, the Daily Mail dished, "[Reynolds] plays a creepy role in upcoming thriller The Voices, which is certainly different to his usual heroic or comedic guise." As a result of being mentally deranged and without his medication, Jerry Hickfang is pressured by his cat, Mr. Whiskers, into becoming a murderer, while his dog, Bosco, tries to stop him.
