Willow Smith, the 11-year-old daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith posted a picture of herself showing off a "piercing" in her tongue.

In the photo, Willow poses with her mouth open wide and a shiny silver ball on her tongue. The friend next to her has a piercing in her chin.

But Willow says the piercing is not real.

"It's fake...Sorry," the controversial kid wrote alongside the picture on Instagram.

A source close to the Smith family also denied the piercing is real.

"It isn't a piercing, it's a magnet," the source told Gossip Cop. "Just a young girl having fun with accessories," the site notes.

Users on Twitter were shocked to hear about Willow's alleged piercing.

"Willow Smith is 11 years old & has her tongue pierced!? Someone needs to smack the Fresh Prince of Bel Air upside his head!" one person wrote on Twitter.

"Willow smith got her tongue pierced at the age of 11, when i was 11 i watched disney films," another user wrote.

"Willow Smith got a Tongue Ring at the age of 11. I'm gone whip her and her parents back & forth (Internet Mom)," wrote another.

The "Whip my Hair" singer, who is known for her eclectic style and for always trying new trends out, also made headlines when she shaved her head early this year.

"She is young, edgy, and individual," Smith's stylist Rob Zangardi, told Us Weekly Magazine.
