Bankruptcy fraud accusations hasn't gotten in the way of Todd Chrisley and his family from being a hit when it comes to reality television.

Todd Talks First Season of 'Chrisley Knows Best'

The Atlanta family's show, Chrisley Knows Best, has been renewed for a second season, according to The Hollywood Reporter Monday. USA also increased the number of episodes for the second season to 12 after ratings brought in more than 1 million viewers. The debut season had 8.

Senior VP Alternative Programming for USA Netowrk, Heather Olander, said it's no surprise that Chrisley Knows Best is a successful show.

Todd Shows Off 'Grand' Home Amid Bankruptcy Fraud Allegations?

"We knew from the moment we met Todd there was no other character quite like him and whether or not you agree with his parenting style, he has certainly struck a chord with our viewers as their new guilty pleasure. We're excited to continue the laughs and be there for more genuine family moments with Todd and his family in season two."

The reality show is the latest attempt of USA to launch a popular unscripted series. But news of a sophomore season could raise the eyebrows of bankruptcy court as Todd has been accused of using his wife, Julie, to hide assets in his case. It's possible that the court could ask to see Todd's second season contract to find out how much he's bringing in.

Creditors are set to state their case in court Thursday. Two banks, State Bank and Trust as well as U.S. Bank are reportedly going to ask for "relief from automatic stay" so they can begin to collect money from Todd now instead of waiting until the bankruptcy process is over. He owes nearly a million dollars between the two.

The first season finale of Chrisley Knows Best airs Tuesday April 22 at 10/9c on USA.
