One of the more popular young actresses on American Horror Story recently made fans take notice of her possible casting in season 4 after a cryptic tweet.

Lea Michele 'Begging' To Be Cast In American Horror Story?

Taissa Farmiga, who played Violet in season 1 of American Horror Story and Zoe in American Horror Story: Coven, recently tweeted that she was trying on some '50s clothes at a fitting.

"Just had a fun fitting in '50s clothing. ;]," she tweeted this week. This caused fans to speculate that she might be getting ready to play a new role in season 4 of American Horror Story, which is set in the 1950s. Farmiga was one of the only actresses from Coven who hadn't been announced as a cast member for season 4.

However, Farmiga realized the error of her ways with a follow-up tweet the same day:

"Ahh. Sometimes I get too carried away with my secretive tweets. Wasn't for AHS," she tweeted. "But something else pretty awesome. Can't say though!"

The fourth season of American Horror Story, which is subtitled Freak Show, is still in pre-production, so there may still be time for Farmiga to be cast. However, it is also possible that she will be skipping the upcoming season, much like she did for season 2's Asylum.

She is slated to film a horror-comedy movie called The Final Girls this summer, which might keep her too busy to appear in American Horror Story. Actress Lily Rabe, who has appeared in all three seasons of American Horror Story, might be in a similar situation as she has been cast in a new ABC show called The Visitors.

American Horror Story season 4 premieres in fall 2014 on FX.
