The official season 2 trailer for Orange is the New Black has been released by Netflix and Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) appears to be much tougher than she was in season 1.

Piper is shown in her new solitary confinement cell, likely placed there because of her big fight with Pennsatucky (Taryn Manning) in the season 1 finale.

"I am prepared to behave like a model inmate and I feel I no longer pose a threat," Piper says, sounding like she has rehearsed her speech several times.

In another scene, she seems to be threatening someone:

"I am a lone wolf and a vicious one. Don't make me rip your throat out."

Needless to say, this is not the same cheery, yuppie Piper that came into the Litchfield prison at the beginning of the series.

The other big plot highlighted in the trailer is the introduction of a new character named Vee (Lorraine Toussaint). Vee is someone Red (Kate Mulgrew) was associated with before they both went to prison.

"A woman I knew a long time ago came back in yesterday," Red says in the clip, referring to Vee.

Vee seems to has some powers of persuasion as she is shown flirting with Suzanne a.k.a. Crazy Eyes (Uzo Aduba). Other scenes show the complicated relationship between Daya (Dascha Polanco) and Bennett (Matt McGorry), which became even more complicated in season 1 after they became pregnant.

"This isn't how I imagined prison to be at all."

Orange is the New Black season 2 will be released in full on Friday, June 6 through Netflix Instant.
