The Vision is making his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in The Avengers: Age of Ultron, but what powers will Paul Bettany's character possess?

'Avengers 2' Robert Downey Jr About To Begin Shooting For Iron Man Role? When Will Actor Head To Set?

Canonically created by Ultron (James Spader) as a way to attack his creator, Hank Pym, The Vision is an android that has a vast rang of powers that rang from flight and mass control to solar energy projection and superhuman strength. Considering writer/director Joss Whedon has removed Hank Pym from the equation (it appears as if Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) will be the unwitting creator of Ultron), nothing can really be known for sure about The Vision.

"He can do all sorts of things," said Bettany on Jimmy Kimmel Live. "but I'm not allowed to really talk about them and what we're going to do, because there might be a Marvel agent in the room who will actually wrestle me to the ground and fire me."

'Guardians Of The Galaxy' Is 'Definitely' Tied To 'Avengers 3'; Will Thanos Bridge The Films?

There are some fans that believe The Vision will somehow evolve from JARVIS, Stark's AI system that Bettany happened to voice throughout the Iron Man series and 2012's Avengers (see video below).

Bettany, however, did not make any explicit reference to a connection between the two roles.

"Everything's a double-edged sword, because I was playing J.A.R.V.I.S. for years," the actor told Kimmel. "My job was I would turn up at a recording studio for 45 minutes, do all my stuff, they would give me a huge bag of cash and then I'd go home. Now, it turns out they've found me out and they want me to actually, you know, do something!"

Marvelites will have to wait until The Avengers: Age of Ultron 2015 release date to find out more.
