Some casting news for Star Wars: Episode VII has been somewhat announced from an actress who reportedly delivered a part of herself to the filmmakers -- literally.

Familiar Face To Join The Cast Of Episode VII?

On Friday, The Independent mentioned that actress Karen Gillan shaved her head for her upcoming role in Guardians of the Galaxy. But rather than just tossing her hair away, she did something rather beneficial with it. Apparently, her locks will be made into a wig and will be worn by someone in the new Star Wars flick.

Gillan revealed that while she was removing her hair, she was laughing about it until the next day when she realized her head was bare.

Five Actors Competing For Male Role?

"It really hit me when I woke up the next morning," she said. "That's when I was like, 'Oh my God, where's my hair?!' But, also everyone kept me in good spirit. Everyone was laughing and telling jokes. Marvel are the best company to work for, they really are. They treat you really well."

The actress then brought up where her hair was headed (no pun intended) to next.

"They made my hair into the most incredible well-made wig and they gave it to the Star Wars people," Gillan said. "It's just so funny to think that my hair is made into a wig, next to all these Star Wars monster heads in a warehouse. I thought that was really funny."

At this point, it's unclear on who will be wearing the wig in the seventh feature film considering that most of the casting is unknown.

Star Wars: Episode VII is expected to hit theaters on December 18, 2015.
