Things are reportedly looking good for Almost Human to be renewed for a second season on Fox.

Almost Human is one of the only Fox shows still left on the bubble for either renewal or cancellation ahead of the 2014-2015 TV season. Alongside Dads, Enlisted and Surviving Jack, it is the only drama that hasn't been either renewed or cancelled yet.

A new report from TV Wise is claiming that Almost Human is very close to being renewed for a 13-episode second season.

Since its debut in November, Almost Human has gone down in ratings, finally stabilizing at around 5.5 million viewers per episode. The season finale was watched by 5.6 million viewers and scored a 1.5 in the 18-49 demographic, losing to CBS, NBC and ABC's latest offerings of How I Met Your Mother, The Voice and The Bachelor, respectively.

With Fox canceling The X Factor due to low ratings, Fox now has three hours of programming freed up, so any of those could be filled in with Almost Human.

Fox is also struggling with many of its shows, including the once dominant American Idol. With ratings down pretty much all around, the series may prove to be a potentially solid hour week to week for the struggling network.

Almost Human is a drama series set in the year 2048 when crime has gone up dramatically due to the rise of robotics and technology. In order to curb this crime, human police officers are required to work with android partners.
