Jack White could produce the next album of The Rolling Stones, according to a new report.

Stone's guitarist Keith Richards was asked by Rolling Stone magazine if White would produce the band's new material.

"That's always a possibility," Richards, the founder member of the Stones told the magazine. "The door is wide open."

In the interview, Richards said that the band will meet at a Summit in London in July to discuss plans to record new material to mark their 50th anniversary.

He also revealed that in 2009, he and Jack recorded a "couple of tracks" together. However there is no word on whether the songs will be released.

"I don't know if [Jack] ever considered that it was actually, like, master cuts," Richards told the magazine. "But at the same time if Jack wanted to do it, I'd probably say, 'Yeah.'"

White founded its Third Man Record label in 2001 which has released singles by Beck, Insane Clown Posse and Laura Marling. White has also produced albums for Wanda Jackson and Loretta Lyn.

In May, White scored his first No. 1 album ever with his debut solo "Blunderbuss." The album also reigned over music charts in the United Kingdom, Canada and Switzerland in its initial week.
