New York Giant quarterback Eli Manning's placement in the NFL Network’s current “Top 100” player ranking stirred controversy. Manning was placed at No. 31 and teammate Justin Tuck called it ridiculous.

"That's a joke," Tuck told NFL.com. "No question. He is top five, hands down. Top five.”

Manning was 19 spots ahead of big brother Peyton, who did not play a snap last year due to neck injuries. The way Manning won games this year, said Tuck on Saturday, warranted a much higher ranking.

"You win the Super Bowl, you have the season he had, you are automatically top 10," the All-Pro defensive end argued. "But it's how he did it, as far as the fourth-quarter comebacks, leading a team that really didn't have a super, super star wide receiver at the beginning of the year. He made two guys in Hakeem (Nicks) and Victor (Cruz), he made those guys what they are now. I really feel as though he should have been a lot higher than he was."

Had Manning been placed among the top five, it would have been revealed this Wednesday in the final episode of NFL Network's "The Top 100: Players of 2012."
