With the cult-classic AMC period drama being in the first-half of its final season, Mad Men enthusiasts seem to be madly excited to learn how life will turn out for the beloved characters, particularly Don Draper. It is said that the cast and crew receive the "Super Secrecy Speech," and sign a confidentiality waiver. However, Season 7 hints and clues seep out here and there, nonetheless.

Dismal Don Draper Takes An 'Unexpected Field Trip' On 'Mad Men'?

Apparently, the answers fans have been waiting for might just all be found strategically wrapped in previous episodes. During a chat with Vanity Fair March 12, the Mad Men creator, Matthew Weiner, may have alluded to that notion, stating, "I love the fact that people speculate about what's going to happen. But what's going to happen on the show, it's very minor on some level compared to what is actually happening on the show."

Perhaps this means that the audience should pay closer attention to the episode at hand, and then may notice the, otherwise seemingly unknown, answers. Moreover, in terms of the season finale, reportedly Weiner said he could have had the show end by expressing the character development of actor Jon Hamm's role, Don Draper, and having Don bring his kids to see the home where he was raised, like last season. However, it seems as though he has a fresher idea in mind. "I do have a different idea for the end of the series, but I'll tell you, now that I'm at the bottom of the mountain looking up there, I have thought, 'Wow, you idiot! You could have walked away from there.' But it's an honor to have a challenge like this," he said.

Will Mad Men's Don Draper Ever Stop Deceiving?

Furthermore, he noted that when scripting the final episodes of the series, "there is some pressure-there's a responsibility about where you're leaving the characters forever in the show." Plus, he also shared his same sentiments in regards to the final season of Mad Men stating, "the show ending is going to be a loss for the audience. The idea that anyone's going to be happy with it is kind of crazy."

Mad Men is all-new, Sundays at 10 p.m. on AMC! Check out a clip for the third episode, Field Trip, here:
