The NCIS: Los Angeles team is headed for some serious complications in the season 5 finale.

New Details On 'NCIS: LA' Season 6 Premiere

Tentatively titled "In Too Deep: Part 1," the final episode will throw a wrench in the everyday lives of Sam (LL Cool J), Callen (Chris O'Donnell), Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen), Kensi (Daniela Ruah), and Hetty (Linda Hunt) when the team's supreme leader is removed from the game.

"The White Ghost has come back to haunt [Hetty] in the finale, and in a very, very bad way," said series creator Shane Brennan, according to TV Guide.

Apparently Hetty's decision to send Kensi to Afghanistan - and the resulting kidnapping debacle - was not quite what her bosses were expecting. While the formidable operations manager is put under the microscope, Sam and Callen will be left in the field without their usual safety net.

"[They are] in extreme jeopardy in a place that they've never been, and in a situation that appears almost insurmountable for them," Brennan teased TV Guide.

Meanwhile, Deeks and Kensi will be crossing paths with a certain DEA agent from "Fish Out of Water," and TV Guide claims that Talia (Mercedes Masohn) won't have a god first meeting with Deek's partner.

Don't expect to see the episode wrapped up with a nice bow, however. It looks like the plot will spill over into the season 6 premiere, which is titled "In Too Deep: Part 2."
