Fox still hasn't made an official decision on whether or not to renew Almost Human, but the show's star is putting all of his support behind it.

Almost Human Returning For Season 2 In 2015?

Karl Urban, who plays Detective John Kennex on the Fox series, recently spoke about his thoughts on Almost Human, essentially revealing that he does not have the intention of returning to television if it is cancelled.

"I love working on Almost Human. I love working with Michael Ealy and that crew. We literally had a lot of fun [in season one]," he said at Salt Lake Comic Com FanX this weekend. "Television is a different beast. It's hard work. We were working six days a week, sometimes 17 hours a day. I didn't get to see my family - at all, in six months. So if Almost Human doesn't go ahead, I'd be more inclined to say, 'You know what? I am going to go for balance in my life at this point. I'm going to go be with my family.'"

Things are reportedly looking good for the series, according to TV Wise. The publication is reporting that the series could be close to renewal for a 13-episode second season.

The Fox show stabilized between five and six million viewers per week during its 13-episode first season. With The X Factor being cancelled, there are three full hours free on the Fox lineup, plus several shows have been struggling in ratings, such as American Idol, Glee and New Girl, so Almost Human could be the modest hit that Fox needs.

Almost Human is set in the year 2048 when crime has gone up dramatically due to the rise of robotics and technology. In order to curb this crime, human police officers are required to work with android partners.
