Eric Hill, 30, died after being placed in a medically induced coma after a part of his parachute collapsed while he was paragliding in Utah on Sunday.

"Eric shared his final journey with us this morning as all his immediate family were able to be at his side when he passed away. Thank you to all of your love and support and prayers and fasting. It as amazing to be with so many of his friends and family yesterday in the hospital who came to express their love for Eric," his sister Karen Tracy wrote on Facebook April 23.

"He gave us such a gift of a life fully lived and fully shared, and allowed us all to be a part of his last adventure here on earth. It is hard to think of life without his bright spark, but we know he is on to new adventures. We look forward to carrying on his legacy here and greeting him joyfully again someday. I love you so much, little brother!"

Hill was revealed to be one of the contestants on Andi Dorfman's upcoming season of ABC's The Bachelorette by Reality Steve back in March. His accident did not occur while filming the show, and he was reportedly eliminated earlier in the filming.

Us Weekly reports he had been on a quest to visit every United Nations-recognized country in the world in just 1,200 days, and had visited more than 50 countries in just his first year of traveling.

His Facebook page features pictures of him engaging with others and going on adventures in Kenya and Papua New Guinea.

There has been no official comment about Hill's death from Dorfman or anyone else involved with the ABC show.
